We’ll explore the difference between Lesion and Inhibition. Lesions refer to localized damage or abnormal change in the tissue, usually caused by disease or trauma. Inhibitions are restrictions in the organism due to voluntary or involuntary restraint of movement expression. Holding patterns and unconscious gestures resulting from unresolved past situations cause physical restrictions similar to lesions. There is an interconnection between lesions and inhibitions. To be able to support the healing ability of the organism we need to be able to discern between them.
In these workshops musculoskeletal, visceral and craniosacral techniques will be learned, as well as the skill to track movement patterns, providing the perceptual orientation necessary for new gestures to emerge. We provide space for our own somatic inquiry. Cultivating awareness and liberation from our own patterns and inhibitions will deepen our embodiment, making us more sophisticated practitioners and humans in this never ending refining process.
